More about Alberta Republicans

Cordyceps_Alberta_RepublicansThe use of cordyceps is one that is widely popular in almost all parts of the world. For Alberta republicans, the story is not any different. In essence, cordyceps is a Chinese herbal medicine that is derived from a rare Fungus. It has been used for more that two thousand years to treat kidney and lung related diseases. It has also been used in strengthening the immune system and enhancing sexual energy. Due to its various medicinal benefits, it is extensively used in Alberta, to treat various ailments and health conditions. Any person in Alberta seeking to get hold of a product to help him or her maintain appropriate blood viscosity, then the use of this product is the best way how.

Cordyceps greatly improves on blood circulation hence is recommended for persons who want to get rid of some kind of exhaustion or fatigue. It greatly reduces the chances that one will suffer from atherosclerosis since it has the ability to reduce the amount of lipids in the blood. Surprisingly, it can help impotent men take control of their condition, hence giving them a restored sense of hope. By improving on the production of the sex hormones, libido is increased and consequently improves the sexual function in this group of men.

For the elderly population in the area, cordyceps can be used to improve their weaknesses hence helps them improve on their health. Notably, it can also be used to provide some anti-aging effects. This is for the simple reason that the fungus tends to have some antioxidant effects since it increase on cellular information. Last but not least, the product greatly improves on the respiratory function. It is hence a good option to fight the effects of coughs, bronchitis as well as asthma. With all these mentioned benefits, there is no reason why the Alberta republicans should not have it as a medic product for the home.

The Privacy Debate – Surveillance in Canada

Of course we all know the catalyst for the huge increase in surveillance that happened in the USA, Canada and the majority of the Western World – the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  But now we can actually analyse the threat in a more dispassionate way the increasing lack of privacy is becoming an important issue for citizens.

Privacy has often been described as an important foundation of Liberal democracy and there are many who are concerned that by increasing surveillance that we are actually eroding that political ideal.  Certainly the extent to which we are monitored is now much higher than it has ever been unless perhaps you were unfortunate enough to have lived under the watchful eyes of the Stasi or KGB.  The question is – can it be justified?  What really is the motivation behind this sort of extensive monitoring.

It’s not just Governments of course, every time you use a computer on  the internet, then firms and data companies are tracking everything you do online.  Their’s has a commercial bias of course but they are still creating online profiles of every person who uses the internet through their web usage, sites they visit, ads they click and even their social networking information.

It’s not surprising that websites like http://www.anonymous-proxies.org/ which provide information, advice and news on privacy and anonymity online are becoming more popular.  The reality is that people are beginning to be threatened by excessive surveillance when their lives slowly begin to resemble George Orwell’s famous novel – 1984.

Of course the question is – what is the payoff ? Does surveillance produce enough benefits to balance out this loss of privacy?  In my opinion, and it is just my opinion – it doesn’t even come close.  For example the above website reviews a computer software that is able to encrypt everything you do online.  Those people are instantly protected from the vast majority of covert surveillance – it is probably likely a terrorist would take similar precautions.  The obvious danger is that you end up only monitoring those who don’t mind being watched or worse are not aware they’re being watched.

There has been huge investment by most Governments across the world in the technologies to watch our movements both off and online.  I suggest there has been substantially less in procedures and protocols for using this information.  There are some hugely important issues and concerns with how and when this information is used.

The Benefits of an Outdoor Fireplace

As anyone who lives there can tell you the quality of life that Alberta residents enjoy is a very good one. Personal taxes are lower, additional health benefits are readily available, the economy remains strong and the housing is attractive and relatively affordable.

One growing trend amongst Alberta homeowners is to add an outdoor fireplace to their backyard. An outdoor fireplace adds both warmth and elegance to any outdoor space and is great for entertaining.

Wood burning outdoor fireplaces are very popular but you do of course need somewhere to store the wood needed to keep a nice roaring fire in all night. Keeping a stack of logs loose on a deck or patio is neither very safe or very attractive. It is for that reason that most wood burning fireplace owners purchase a firewood storage rack.

Homeowners can find firewood storage racks in a number of different styles and sizes. many of this styles blend into the background very well, so their presence does not ruin the overall look of the space. They are relatively inexpensive to purchase and in addition to providing handy storage for firewood they also help keep that firewood in great shape.

What kind of wood you choose to store in your firewood storage rack will often be determined by the use you want to put your fireplace to. if it is to be used for warmth only any nice dry, well seasoned logs should work well. If on the other hand you want to cook over your fireplace the type of wood you use can affect the flavors of the food so you need to choose a little more carefully! Mesquite, cedar, peach, apple and cherry woods are all popular cooking wood choices. The fruit woods work best for fish, sweet dishes and poultry but if you are cooking red meats you really need a mesquite or cedar wood that can easily impart that nice strong, smoky flavor you are looking for.

A Great Product Straight From Canada

I always love hearing about successful products that have been launched right here in Canada!  It seems like so much manufacturing is being outsourced to other countries, and it’s great to learn about products that are being developed and manufactured in our country.

The latest product I heard about from my wife — it’s a hair oil called mira hair oil that comes straight from Toronto.  Based on an age-old combination of herbs, it helps restore hair by repairing damage and can consequently help improve hair growth.  It’s about $80 (USD) for a bottle and has amassed fans from all across the globe.  My wife loves it; she says it makes her hair shinier and thicker.  I can’t say I know much about hair care products, but when my wife loves it, it must be good!

Have you heard about any products that are manufactured exclusively in Canada?  I’d love to hear about them.  Shoot me an email and I’ll feature them on AlbertaRepublicans.org!

Republican Policy Reviews – Promoting Refrigerator Manufacturing Is Good For The Province

Calgary Republicans can be proud of our efforts to foster Alberta’s manufacturing industries. By promoting a business friendly operating environment we can draw ever mode manufacturers to our local towns and cities, and provide great jobs for you citizenry.

One type of business worth luring into the neighborhood are manufacturing jobs in factories.  The production of home appliances is relatively labor intensive, and can create a large number of jobs if it is done locally.

The chief challenge we face in building Canada’s’ base of manufacturing jobs is competition from other countries where labor costs are much lower.  Clearly we cannot compete with many of the South East Asian nations on labor costs alone.

To be competitive, we must provide a well trained work force that has the confidence and ability to take the initiative to help employers produce better quality products than they can easily do overseas. Let’s take refrigerators as an example.

China is producing a large range of fridge freezers and selling them under brands such as Haier.  While cheap to buy, the refrigerator reviews for these products are generally rather poor.  Alberta, in order to compete, needs to lure premium manufacturers to the area.

These companies will be willing to pay the extra for our higher labor costs if it means they are able to produce the high quality products their buyers are used too.  When refrigerator reviews are positive, consumers will pay more for the products produced, so the firms can absorb the additional costs and still make a profit.

By offering a flexible and educated workforce, minimal government regulation, and cheap and plentiful land, Alberta can stake out a good sized portion of the world’s manufacturing base.  As republicans we should do our best to promote policies that make us competitive in these areas. We need to be the party of the job creators.

Kids and Pizza Hut

Most fast food restaurants, in fact most restaurants in general, offer a special menu designed to appeal just to kids. If you have Pizza Hut coupons to spend just what does Pizza Hut have to offer the kids?

The average Pizza Hut Kids Meal serves children their own personal pan pizza or a choice of another side like boneless chicken wings or a small pasta dish as well as a dessert and a drink in collectible cup. And if you head to your local pizza Hut on a Tuesday night up to 2 kids in your dining party can get their personal pan pizza free (or an icepop desert if they prefer).

Birthday parties at Pizza Hut are usually a big hit with kids as well, and at just $5.99 per head they offer one of the better values in the fast food restaurant industry when it comes to catered children’s parties.

Are You Sick of Your CPAP?

The condition of sleep apnea can be a very unhealthy thing to deal with.  The lack of sleep that both you and your partner get each night is very unhealthy.  One of the traditional treatment methods has been CPAP therapy; however most people do not really like putting on their CPAP facemask each night when going to sleep.  It can be rather noisy and also pretty uncomfortable for many people.  There is however newer treatment options that can help out drastically such as oral appliance therapy.  Oral appliances are administered through dentists through dental sleep medicine.  Such devices help to stop the snoring and are not large and cumbersome like CPAP machines are.

Proper Debt Relief Can Help Alberta Republicans

Republicans pride themselves on fiscal responsibility and being able to handle their own finances, not the government.  Given the recent recession and how it has devastated pretty much the entire world many people have been left riddled with credit card debt.  As a responsible Republican getting out of debt should be a number one priority to those who are suffering the burdens of credit card debt.  Fortunately debt settlement can help people free themselves from debt quickly and also help them to save much needed money.  This is something most responsible but overburdened Republicans should consider when stuck with loads of high interest credit card debt.

Marketing and politics go hand in hand

The internet has been one of the most efficient tools to promote a business. It is a lot less time consuming compared to making house calls or telemarketing. In addition, it provides an opportunity for a business to access the global market and transcend geographical boundaries. It also resulted in a means for a lot of people to work from home. By just promoting an internet marketing company, one can now make a stable income by just staying at home.

However, with so many companies out there, choosing the best ones to promote can be tough. I for one have been enticed by some companies only to find out in the end that it was not worth my time and effort. Sometimes, I get a refund, but I would not be able to get back the time I have lost. After several years of experience, the most basic things I look for in a company are the following: your willingness to sell the product, the potential market to sell the product to, and a guarantee that the company will pay commissions in an accurate and timely manner.

A good seo agency would almost always have the following features: a fair and competitive marketing plan, a valuable product or service, and a support system to help affiliates in promoting its products or services. There could be additional features but these three are essential in looking for an opportunity that is worth our money, time, and effort. By going for the correct company, time and financial freedom is just within our reach.

LIBERAL AGENDA: EVIL Republicans Want Us to Die From Heart Disease & Breathe Dirt

Liberals don’t seem to understand what Republicans really stand for, or it is also possible that they do understand it really well, they just need some “grounds” to smear and attack Republicans and make them somehow look bad. The stupidity has come to the point that they actually accuse us of wanting dirty environment for us to live in and our children to be unhealthy and eat greasy high cholesterol diet and grow up to have heart disease and other serious health conditions. I don’t think I have to tell you how ridiculous this is! They also accuse us of wanting our poor to die without getting treatment in hospitals, because we oppose the unconstitutional healthcare mandate on individuals enforced by the IRS.

Okay, first of all we all do understand the importance of clean air and healthy environment for us to live in, however we believe in trusting the individuals to make the right choices and generally to do the right thing. History has shown that government tends to spend money wastefully, they always predict the spent X amount of money for a certain cause and end up spending at least 20 times more for it and not even getting it done. Now picture this, they predict their new health-care reform to just cut expenses a little bit, however any self-respecting economist says that the reform isn’t going to cut spending on Medicare. What do I read in this? This means they are going to spend at least 20 times of what they have predicted and not even take care of it.

Even worse, we can’t even afford to spend on Medicare what we’re spending now, so with their reforms we’re going to basically go bankrupt and not only the poor won’t get any treatment in hospital (which they were actually getting as a matter of fact in emergency rooms), but so won’t anybody else in the country who doesn’t own a shitload of money. So to care of the health of our people we actually think with our brains instead of offering people things that sound great but are going to be actually worse off. We also believe that we should educate our children what is good for them to eat, what food is healthy and what not, and we believe in letting our children make the right choice instead of actually proposing taxes on businesses for selling ice cream or other high cholesterol, high sugar, high … with any other unhealthy substance here… and bankrupting the businesses which we do want to have around us; I mean we all have to have some ice cream once in a while, don’t we? Government mandating things isn’t the right choice forward, the people need to make the choice and they will make the right choice given the opportunity sooner or later, PERIOD!

The Difference Between Republicans And Democrats

Republicans always get labeled as being the party that is for the rich and Democrats are for everyone else. It is a myth that is pounded into our consciousnesses day after day by the liberal media who clearly has an agenda.

Republicans are for everyone who has a dream, wants freedom, and wants the chance to succeed. They are the party that works to preserve people’s ability to start a business and raise a family without the interference of the government. It doesn’t matter whether you are talking about Republicans in Canada or in the United States, they both stand for less government.

Occupy Wall Street is a protest movement that is anti-Republican and has picked up steam in both America and around the world. It is misguided in that it’s participants seem to be against big business, banking, bailouts, and corporate greed. They named it “Occupy Wall Street” as though they are against the stock market and people buying stocks. They think conservatives and Republicans are the problem when in fact the Democrats have been in the White House for 3 years now and are in charge. Again it is the liberal media that has aided in placing blame in the wrong direction.

Unfortunately, in reality there are often few differences between Democrats and Republicans and the way they vote. Much of the differences seem to be just in what they say and not what they do. For instance in America, both sides are responsible for the immense debt that we have and both sides are clueless how to solve the problem. You have to be very careful to not get caught up in just listening to the rhetoric but watch closely what each side actually does.

A Tour Of Canada: A Great Golden Wedding Anniversary Gift

One of my nieces moved to Canada many years ago and my sister and her husband have recently visited her. The holiday was one of their golden wedding anniversary gifts from their children, and Sue and David spent a great month with their eldest daughter.

They toured Canada and spent some time in Alberta and the independence movement was discussed in the media while they were there.

I am in the UK, a long way from Canada, although that country does of course have close ties with us. So it came as some surprise to hear that various parts of Canada would like independence. Quebec, of course, has long wished to cut the ties with the rest of Canada, but in view of the different languages spoken there is some logic to that. However, to learn that Alberta wishes to stand alone prompts me to ask could they survive as a nation? Talk of a seperate defence force is laughable: who seriously would want to invade, and if another country did how could Alberta successfully defend itself?

Maybe a looser confederation of separate states within Canada could be modelled on the European Union? But that is hardly a successful body that anyone would want to copy.

Conservatives and Wine Shipping

I had a discussion with the owner of my wine of the month club and the issue of shipping wine came up.  In the United States, certain states exempt wine shipments from outside retailers, it is interesting that most of those states are the incredibly conservative ones.

In Canada we still have some provinces with state owned liquor stores.  If conservatives truly want to stand for small business and the free market, how in the world can either of those scenarios be accepatble to conservatives in either Canada or the United States?

Personally I think it is time to take a stand, not only for wine, but small business in general.

Flag

image of the Western Independence Flag by Mr. Dexter Dombro

The Western Independence Flag was originally designed by Dexter Dombro and it won the “flag competition” held at the founding convention of the Western Independence Association of Canada. The association subsequently adopted the flag as their dominant symbol of a free West Canada.

The flag represents the land and people of western and northern Canada. It’s colors – red, white and blue are the colors of the revolutionary democracies from which we originate. A white bar separates the red base from the blue upper half and on the right represents the prairies and northern tundra. On the left, the mountains of B.C. and the Yukon. In the sky, the Little Dipper is seen with the North Star which signifies the new nation.

A Constitution for Alberta

Introduction

In 1981 Canadians got a new constitution, but no one cheered. In our hearts and our bones we knew it was not our constitution. We had had no part in its creation.

We needed a constitution with a triple-E senate and an end to bilingualism. We needed a constitution we could all understand. We needed a constitution which could not be changed without our consent.

But Quebec and Ontario would never agree. They would have to give up too much. They would lose their power to control our government. The changes we need will never occur within confederation.

That is why this constitution has been written for an independent Alberta.

A Constitution For Alberta

Preamble:

In this constitution we of Alberta, being a free people dedicated to democracy and the primacy of the individual, do declare the terms under which our government must function and by which we consent to be governed.

Article 1: Statement of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms

1. It is hereby declared that Albertans recognize as self-evident the following fundamental human rights and freedoms which exist independently of government, namely,

a) the right of the individual to Life, Liberty, Property, and Security of the person, and the right not to be deprived thereof except by due process of law;

b) the right of the individual to equality before the law and to protection of the law;

c) freedom of religion;

d) freedom of speech and expression;

e) freedom of assembly and association;

f) freedom of the press; and

g) freedom of movement.

2. Every law of Alberta shall be so interpreted and applied as not to abrogate, abridge or infringe or to authorize the abrogation, abridgement or infringement of any of the rights or freedoms herein recognized and declared. In particular, NO LAW of Alberta shall be interpreted or applied so as to

a) authorize or effect the arbitrary detention, search, imprisonment or exile of any person;

b) deprive a person who has been arrested or detained

(i) of the right to be informed promptly of the reason for the arrest or detention.

(ii) of the right to retain and instruct counsel without delay and to use the compulsory process

of the courts to obtain witnesses in their defense.

(iii) of the remedy by way of habeas corpus for the determination of the validity of the detention

and for the release from detention if the detention is not lawful.

c) authorize a court, tribunal, commission, board or other authority to compel a person to give evidence if the individual is denied counsel, protection against self-incrimination or other constitutional safeguards;

d) deprive a person of the right to a fair hearing in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice for the determination of an individual’s rights and obligations;

e) deprive a person charged with a criminal offence of the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a fair and public hearing by an impartial tribunal; or

f) deprive a person of the right to reasonable bail without just cause; or

g) deprive a person of the right to the assistance of an interpreter in any proceedings in which that person is involved in or in which that person is a party or a witness, before a court, commission, or other tribunal, if the person does not understand or speak the language in which the proceedings are conducted;

h) impose, or authorize the imposition of cruel or unusual treatment or punishment.

i) make an act a crime after it has occurred, or make an offence more serious, a penalty more severe, or deprive an individual of a protection which existed when the act occurred.

Juicing for 3 Months

My wife has been on at me about staying healthy. She’s got a point I suppose. When it comes to being active, we do plenty of things, go hiking together and I enjoy playing racketball with some of the guys from work. Where I fall down though is on what I eat. Or more specifically, on what I don’t eat. You guessed it, I’m not that big on fruits and vegetables.

Well, I wasn’t but that was before. Since August 10th we have been drinking fresh juices almost every day. Some days we make more than one. We got this smart new juicer, and now I’m starting to enjoy eating the right foods. It’s easy since we don’t really have to eat anything, we just drink a juice and get a buzz.

We did shop around. First we took a look at the mall and we did some research on the internet too. There’s more variety in the juicer market than you may realize. But after reading an Omega VRT350HD review, I knew that was the one we had to get. It’s a solid machine and it juices whatever we want to drink quickly and easily.
